Welcome...
The mission of the Kennedy Mine Foundation is to protect, conserve, restore the historic structures, and share the history of the property known as the Kennedy Mine. The Kennedy Mine Foundation works to retain the historic value, scenic beauty, natural treasures and wildlife habitat for future generations. The Kennedy Mine Foundation is a non-profit California Public Benefit Corporation operating under the 501(c)3 regulations.
We hope you will come and enjoy the Kennedy Gold Mine with us and perhaps become involved in the volunteer effort. Donations are welcome and are tax deductible. Come and visit the Kennedy Mine!
VOLUNTEER AT THE KENNEDY MINE! Nothing can compare to the look in a youngster’s eyes when he, or she, sees the first signs of color in the gold pan at the Kennedy Mine. Almost as gratifying is the look on the face of the volunteer who is helping that youngster. The Kennedy now can use the services of a limited number of additional volunteers, maybe 100 or so, like we once had.
We see so many seniors walking along our roads because their doctor said, “you must get some exercise”. Why not get your exercise in a fun way? We probably could extend your life by many years. At least, we can make it a lot more interesting.
We have jobs of all kinds for those of any age. We have volunteers in their 80’s and 90’s. We have volunteers in High School. Ours is a close-knit group of men and women who just feel good about doing something worth while.
